6 weeks old

I can't believe it!  Peja was 6 weeks old yesterday.  It's not fair that those first few weeks are so sleep deprived that they become a blur! 

Peja is in a good sleeping routine right now, sleeping between 11pm-5am most nights and then going back to sleep until 7 or 8.  When she's awake, she's just starting to smile at you.  I keep taking pictures hoping I'll capture it.  And she's growing-only about one more week in her newborn clothes before they are too small!

Photo Shoot

Ian was in charge of Peja the other day while I was doing bath time with Tate, so he decided to a mini photo shoot with her.  She's working hard on getting chubby and round!

Museum Days

There is a new Natural History Museum in town and we got a family membership for Christmas from Ian's parents. It's full of Dinos, animals, and rocks-all Tate's favorites.  We took Tate and his friend Oliver while my parents were here and then went back last weekend with Ian's parents.  I'm sure we'll get good use out of the membership this year!

As soon as Tate saw Grandpa get on his computer, Tate wanted to sit right next to him with the Ipad.  Technology knows no age I guess!

Birthday Weekend

With Tate's birthday being on Friday of a holiday weekend, we celebrated all weekend long.  I took cupcakes to his class at daycare on Friday afternoon and we all sang to him.  

Then Grandma and Grandpa Skinner came late Friday night so when Tate woke up Saturday morning he was surprised to see them.  We had fondue and more cupcakes and singing on Saturday night.  

When we sang to him at school he didn't really seem to understand it was all for him but by Saturday night he was way into it!  And then on Sunday all he wanted was cupcakes...he did get one, but after a 2 and half hour nap :)  

Grandma and Grandpa brought some skis with them that used to be Henrik and Antija's.  Tate loves them and started skiing around the dining room as soon as we would put his skis and boots on him.  Luckily it snowed Saturday night so he could try them out outside!

Happy Birthday!

Hard to believe it's been 2 years already...It seems like Tate has turned into a little boy overnight! 

When you ask him how old he is, he says "three no six."  He likes to count, sing ABCs, and do little dances in front of the mirror to music. Right now his favorite foods are mushrooms, olives, and any kind of "nack" (snack). He loves exploring and asking "this is?"  Which is his version of "what is this?"

Big Brother Tate

Tate has been an amazing older brother so far.  He loves to give Peja kisses and pats (the girl is going to have an immune system of steel!)  And so far is very patient while I feed her or hold her. It definitely helped to have my mom here so that Tate could still get some undivided attention in the beginning, but he's adjusting well.
