Happy New Year

Ever since my laptop died this summer, I haven't had a reliable place to download pictures in order to update the blog.  But I ended up using my work computer to make some calendars for Christmas so now that I have a bunch of pictures saved, I figured I better make an attempt to update the blog before the end of the year.

So enjoy all the posts which will be heavy on pictures and light on words :)

And here's hoping we get a new computer in 2012 so I can stay organized with the blog!

Christmas

We enjoyed a quiet Christmas at home this year as we get ready for the new baby. It was very low key and nice to have no where we had to be.  Tate has learned how to say Santa and Snowman and loved the Christmas tree.  He was still a little unsure about presents and unwrapping them.  He'd open one present and want to play with it instead of opening all the others.  I'm sure next year will be a different story all together!

Christmas Fondue

It's a tradition in the Skinner house to have fondue at Christmas.  Since we were having friends over for Raclette on Christmas Eve and Ian was making a prime rib roast on Christmas Day, we decided to do fondue on Friday night.  A new experience for Tate but one I think he'll really love!

Family Pictures

Our friend Emma was nice enough to come over in early December and take some updated family pictures of the three (and 1/2) of us.  She takes wonderful pictures and I love them all. She also got some great ones of Tate-which was nice since we haven't had a good one since his class picture last winter.

And the christmas card is a success!

Thanksgiving

The Tate family-Casey, Heidi, and Henry (15 months) flew down from Whitefish, MT to spend Thanksgiving with us.  We had a great time playing, eating, taking walks, and of course watching massive amounts of football!  It was an awesome holiday weekend!

At the new Utah Museum of Natural History-our big outing for the weekend!
The museum was very cool.  We can't wait to go back.
