One Week Old

Peja's already a week old and changing quickly.  She's starting to get a double chin and a dimple in each cheek.  So far she's been a great sleeper and eater, only losing 4 oz between the hospital and her first doctor visit.

We are all adjusting to life with a newborn including Tate.  He has been really good with her so far, patting  her gently when she's in the bassnette.  He even asked to hold her last night which was so cute!

Baby Skinner #2 turned out to be a sweet baby girl born right on time at 2:17 am on Tuesday, January 17th.  She is just darling and we are all in love with her.  

Mormor and Dampa arrived just in time as they flew in Monday afternoon, so they were here to stay with Tate when Ian and I headed to hospital about midnight.  

Peja is a Danish name that we heard and really liked. It is pronounced Pay-sha or Asia with a P. It doesn't seem to have any special meaning but I think it could mean agreeable and sweet-which is just what she is!

7 lbs 6 oz/19.5 inches

Meeting Big Brother Tate.  

He was interested in her for about a minute; then the buttons on Mommy's bed were way more exciting!
