Life

I think that's what you call it when the days blur together and before you know it, it's October with the holidays right around the corner.  Every night I have grand plans for updating the blog and every night they get pushed to the side. Take tonight for example:  bath time was delayed as Peja pooped in the tub two different times, Tate was out of bed for numerous excuses, we discovered mold on the carpet due to the remodel, and I forgot my debt card on a late night trip to the store as we were out of all things for breakfast. And this is just a random Wednesday night.

But there is light at the end of the tunnel.  The current phase of the basement remodel is almost complete, I feel like I'm getting the hang of my new job and have a little more brain power at the end of the day to hop back online and post to the blog.  I haven't stopped taking pictures even in my absence so there is much to update.  Tomorrow-I'll try again tomorrow!

4 Months Big

Peja is 4 months old today and a complete joy!  She's happy most of the time and loves to smile, talk and laugh at you.  She's getting close to rolling over and has tried sitting up in the bumbo a few times although it's not her favorite place to be.  Even wildman Tate seems to slow down for a chance to play and snuggle with Peja when she's on her play mat.

Little Bug

Peja is 3 months old today! She's beginning to coo and talk and smiles all the time. I just love it! It will be hard to leave her for work every day when I start back full time next week, but it will help all of us get on a schedule which will be good.  

The Easter Bunny

The Easter Bunny (aka Mormor) definitely made a stop at our house, bringing Tate and Peja lots of tasty treats and fun treasures. We had a fun Easter weekend as daycare was closed Friday and Monday so Tate got some good playtime in with Mormor including making a snowman as the weather was typical spring weather-one day snow and 70 degrees the next day!

The holidays are so fun now that Tate is a little older and can take part in all of the traditions.  He colored easter eggs with Grandma Skinner when we were in Pinedale last weekend and had a great time making "rainbow hands" and dropping the eggs into the dye.  I don't think there was one that wasn't cracked!  

Then this weekend he went on an egg hunt with some of the neighborhood kids.  Once he found out there was candy in the eggs, he wasn't too interested in searching for more.  He wanted to sit down and open each one and eat the treats.  

Magic Carpet Ride

With the end of winter in sight, we are trying to get outside and pack in as many winter activities as we can before what little snow we have melts away.  Saturday we took Tate up to Park City Mountain Resort to so he could try going downhill.  They have a great "magic carpet" set up that takes you up a 100 yards or so and then a very mild slope down.  Best of all it's free!  Tate had an absolute blast and probably made 20 trips up and down!  He especially loved wiping out; such a wild boy. :)

Peja had her 2 month appointment on Friday and weighs 11.5 lbs.  The doctor was quite pleased with her weight gain. She's getting rounder and rounder which definitely helps her nighttime sleeping!

Since I've started working from home, Peja has been taking a morning nap on the guest room bed while I work at the desk.  She looks so cute peeking out from the covers!

Getting Tate to sit still these days is almost impossible-especially for a picture.  But after a bunch of tries, we got a couple of good ones of both Peja and Tate and Mormor in their pajamas.

Sweet Pea

Tomorrow Peja is 2 months old.  I'm not sure where the weeks have gone but we are all adjusting and feel so lucky to have such a darling little girl!  She's starting to smile more and I keep trying to capture it on camera-sometimes more successfully than others!
